Cinemas is a survey within the history of the Greater Miami Valley's local movie theaters. The era of the movie theater is that of a dying age. Due to the constant evolution of technology and our society's needs, the once-thriving theaters of the 20th century are slowly being forced to shut their doors. Many of those theaters specifically in the Dayton area have remained untouched, leaving behind forgotten artifacts and countless memories. The following images invite the viewer to embrace the nostalgia that theaters have left behind in the constant battle to keep up with our culture.
